Experience

Summer & winter activities in our Bernau high valley

Bernau offers its guests a variety of activities and sports opportunities at any time of the year. It starts directly from the hotel: It doesn’t matter whether you climb the 1415 meter second highest peak of the Black Forest – the Herzogenhorn – hike our new panorama hiking trail Hochtalsteig, explore our trails on a mountain bike or use the ski lifts and cross-country ski runs in the immediate vicinity of our house in winter - with us, sports enthusiasts get their money's worth. If you prefer things to be more leisurely and are interested in art and culture, our Bernau museums are also available free of charge with the Bernau guest card.

Deep valleys, wild landscapes, sunny peaks, the vineyards of Baden beckon on the western edge. Whether vineyards or peaks, gorges or panoramic trails: the network of hiking trails is as varied as the natural landscape of the Black Forest. In the south, the 11,100 km² holiday region rises up to the 1,493 meter high Feldberg. The FerienWelt Südschwarzwald has summarized the most beautiful premium hiking trails, barefoot trails, hiking locations etc. clearly for you. Take a look and get inspired.
